Lab Members Tour Massachusetts Technology Companies for REU 2012

Robotics Lab members Jordan Allspaw, Kelsey Flynn, John Hasenzahl, Amelia McHugh, John Ouellette, and Sompop Suksawat toured local Massachusetts technology companies as part of the 2012 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. Alongside computer science students from an REU at UMass Amherst and UMass Boston, they visited Google, Kiva Systems, MIT, and Microsoft. Students spoke with Google programmers, controlled Kiva's warehouse robots, toured MIT's Media Lab, and learned about Microsoft's design theory.
