Congratulations to post-doctoral researcher, Kristen Stubbs, as she starts her new position on June 1 as iRobot's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Outreach Program Manager.

Kristen has actively been involved with robot education beginning with in her doctoral career at Carnegie Mellon University with Dr. Illah Nourbakhsh's "Robot Diaries," a program for middle school girls. In her post-doctoral position at UMass Lowell, she has co-organized the STREAM 2009 workshop, whose goal is to provide K-12 educators the opportunity to explore how they might use robotics in their own STEM instruction through interactive sessions as well as through presentations by other educators currently using robotics as a way to teach STEM.
