Robotics Lab alumni Mark Micire sends smartphones to space with NASA
Recent recipient of his PhD in Computer Science and Robotics Lab alumni, Mark Micire, is working with the Intelligent Robotics Group at NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, CA. Micire is working on using smartphones to control spherical robots, called SPHERES and developed by MIT, aboard the space shuttle Atlantis during its STS-135 mission which launched last Friday, July 8, 2011.
