Doctoral students Mark Micire and Kate Tsui were recently awards scholarship. Mark received a scholarship from the Ziagos Family Endowment Fund, for his development of a weekly social event, Geek Movie Night. Kate received the UMass Lowell's College of Arts and Sciences "Outstanding Research Scholar" award, which acknoweldged her 2007-2008 publications, teaching ability, and community outreach.
