Tom Ryden from VGo Communications visits the UMass Lowell Robotics Lab
Tom Ryden, Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder of VGo Communications, paid a visit to the Robotics Lab to check out our progress on modifying a set of VGo telepresence robots. There are two versions of our augmentations to these robots: the first is Hugo (pictured sporting a blue light-up LED tie) and the second is Margo (pictured wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt with red flowers). Margo has been replicated for research being done in collaboration with Tufts University and the University of Michigan. The replicated robots are named Largo (Michigan, pictured) and Ichigo (Tufts, not pictured). Thank you to Tom Ryden for stopping by! For more information on our research see the Robotic Telepresence page, and for more information on Hugo see the Robots page. Information on Margo will be available on the Robots page soon.
