Graduate students Erin Rapacki and Kate Tsui presented a poster at the RESNA Interactive Poster Session on Sunday. Erin developed a fixed turret assembly in which to encase a Class II laser diode. The "laser joystick" will be used as a selection device for people who use wheelchairs to manipulate objects in the world. The poster described the details of the laser joystick design and reported an evaluation of the device by 6 end-users.
