UMass Lowell Rover Hawks Competing in NASA RASC-AL Robo-Ops Competition 2013
The University of Massachusetts Lowell was picked as one of eight teams to compete in the 2013 NASA RASC-AL Robo-Ops Competition. The challenge is to design, build, and program a rover that can traverse the Johnson Space Center Rockyard in Houston, Texas. The rover will be teleoperated remotely, and the task is to identify and collect colored rocks throughout the Rockyard. Members of our team, the Rover Hawks, have flown down to Houston, Texas for the competition. Other members of the team are at the NERVE Center in Lowell, MA to teleoperate the rover.
