UMass Lowell students compete at Trinity Firefighting Competition

Good luck to our five student teams who are competing in the 2010 Trinity Firefighting Competition. All five teams have built autonomous, mobile robots and are competing at the senior level. The goal is for each robot to search four rooms to find the "fire" (a candle), and extinguish it.

Participating teams:

  • Bumblebot: Jonathan Brown, Andrew Galeucia, and Reid Messinger,
  • Dragonfly: Steven Hurton, Paul Phamduy, and Saroun Sek,
  • Explorer 3: Santosh Late, Michael Nourai, and Sorin Vatasoiu,
  • Gir: Amanda Courtemanche and Abe Shultz, and
  • Fireball: Jonathan da Cruz and Timothy Morrill.
